Have a Prawntastic weeknight dinner with this Takeaway Style Prawn & Egg Fried Rice using Laila Long Grain Rice from the comforts of your own home! The recipe so tasty that you will love making it every week. Any doubt? Share it with us.


1. Preheat a deep pan or wok to medium heat. Add the vegetable oil and prawns to the pan with the salt, pepper and chilli flakes . Cook the prawns for 4-5 minutes until they are no longer light pink. Add the soy sauce and stir. Take the prawns off the heat and set them to one side.
2. Add white onion and peppers and fry until they are all cooked through. Slide the onion and peppers to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs onto the other side. Use a spoon or spatula to scramble the eggs as they cook. Add your spring onions and then mix the egg and vegetables together.
3. Add the cooked rice and the prawns to the vegetables and egg mixture along with the oyster sauce.
4. Stir and fry the rice and veggie mixture until everything is well-combined. Tada! You are good to go.


  • 1 cup peeled tail-less prawns
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cups Laila Long Grain Rice (cooked)
  • 1 small white onion (chopped)
  • 1 red bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (diced)
  • 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 2 spring onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Sprinkle of black pepper & crushed chilli flakes
